Empowering Women to Earn, Lead, and Live with Dignity

Overview

At TBMSG Nagpur, we believe that economic empowerment is a powerful tool for social change—especially for women from marginalized communities. Our Livelihood Program supports women in breaking the cycle of poverty and dependence by helping them start or rebuild their means of income.

We especially focus on women survivors of domestic violence, who often find themselves without financial support, social security, or safe housing. Through financial aid, training, and community support, we help these women regain control over their lives.

What We Offer

💼 Livelihood Assistance for Survivors

Women facing or escaping domestic violence often struggle to become self-reliant. We support them by:

  • Helping them identify a skill or trade
  • Providing financial aid or seed capital for starting small businesses
  • Guiding them through legal processes and documentation
  • Linking them to government welfare schemes like Manodhairya Yojana

🧵 Skill Building & Micro-Enterprise Support

We support women in starting:

  • Tailoring services
  • Tiffin/food businesses
  • Beauty parlors
  • Handicraft or home-based production units

We also provide training in:

  • Basic accounting & pricing
  • Marketing and customer interaction
  • Time management and business planning

👭 Formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs)

We encourage women to form SHGs where they:

  • Pool savings
  • Access micro-loans
  • Support each other emotionally and professionally

SHGs have helped women develop leadership skills, negotiation abilities, and a stronger collective voice.
