Responding with Compassion. Rebuilding with Purpose.

Quick Relief. Long-Term Recovery.

Disasters—whether natural or human-made—hit the most vulnerable communities the hardest. At TBMSG Nagpur, we believe that relief efforts must go beyond just emergency aid. They must help people reclaim stability, restore dignity, and rebuild their lives.

Our Disaster Relief & Livelihood Assistance program provides immediate humanitarian aid as well as sustainable support to help affected families restart their livelihoods—especially women and informal workers from marginalized backgrounds.

Our Two-Fold Approach

🆘 1. Immediate Relief

In the wake of floods, pandemics, fire accidents, or sudden displacement, we provide:

  • Dry ration kits
  • Hygiene essentials (sanitary pads, soap, masks)
  • Safe drinking water
  • Medicines and emergency health aid
  • Clothing and basic supplies

We respond quickly, in coordination with local volunteers, health workers, and government schemes to ensure timely and targeted relief.

💼 2. Livelihood Restoration

After the crisis subsides, we support affected women and families to rebuild their income sources through:

  • Micro-grants or tools to restart home-based businesses
  • Support for purchasing equipment (e.g. sewing machines, utensils, carts)
  • Access to government schemes like Manodhairya and housing relief
  • Emotional support and casework through our Women’s Social Project

Our COVID-19 Response (Example)

During the pandemic, TBMSG:

  • Delivered over 350 ration kits to families in slum communities
  • Assisted dozens of women survivors of domestic violence with both food and livelihood support
  • Distributed masks, sanitary pads, and hygiene supplies to adolescent girls
  • Helped women restart tiffin services and tailoring work through small grants

Why Our Relief Work Stands Out

Community-First: We work with existing networks of women, SHGs, and youth groups for fast outreach
Women-Centric: Focus on women-headed households and survivors of violence
Dignity-Based: Aid is distributed respectfully, without bias or hierarchy
Accountable: Every relief effort is documented, audited, and shared with supporters

Ongoing Needs

We continue to respond to:

  • Fire accidents in slum areas
  • Medical emergencies in underserved families
  • Sudden unemployment due to local crises
  • Shelter needs for women in distress
