What We Do
Our programs are designed to address the most pressing challenges faced by marginalized communities, especially women and children in urban slums. We take a holistic, community-based approach to social development.
Our key focus areas include:
- Education: Through our Innovative Early Learning Centres (IELCs), we provide quality early childhood education to children aged 3–5 years from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Women Empowerment: We support women facing domestic violence through legal aid, counseling, and by helping them access government livelihood schemes.
- Life Skills for Girls: Our adolescent girls’ program builds awareness and confidence through education on reproductive health, gender issues, cyber safety, and more.
- Livelihood Assistance: From forming Self Help Groups to offering microloans and financial guidance, we help women achieve economic independence.
- Safety & Well-being: Projects like self-defense training and health camps empower women with the tools to lead safe, healthy lives.
- Hostel & Shelter: We run the Bahujan Hitay Girls Hostel for students from rural and underprivileged families, providing a safe and nurturing environment for their education and growth.
- Disaster Relief: We extend support to communities affected by natural calamities, including livelihood recovery programs.
